This year we had a fabulous Fourth!  My friend Bill let us stay at his family’s home in Sawgrass, Florida.  It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful country club setting.  The country club had a lot of fun activities for the 4th of July.  In the morning, they had a parade of decorated golf carts.  Some people really went all out.  We decked out our cart in stars and stripes and paraded with everyone else in the morning.  The kids loved being part of parade and waving their flags as the spectators waved and cheered.  Later that day, the club had a Great-American cookout with food and fun stuff for kids.  Then we brought our chairs and picnic blanket to the 9th hole of the golf course and watched fireworks to close out the day.  Great end to a great day!
