This summer, we packed up the mini-van and drove to Florida again to vacation in Ponte Vedra Beach. On the way, we stopped to stay a couple of days at the King & Prince on St. Simons Island, Georgia. The girls enjoyed playing in the surf and collecting hundreds of tiny shells. Tommy was content to stay in the sand away from the waves and dig. He did venture a little ways into the surf. When I say a little ways, I mean up to his little toddler ankles. With the water swirling around his feet, he needed a rescue from Mom who was quick to scoop him up. Little Tommy was happy to be on Mom’s shoulder where he drifted off to sleep.
