What a weekend! The Toigos came to Atlanta and boy do they know how to pack a weekend full of fun. Chloe Jane got a head start on the Toigo weekend by going to a superfun birthday party. Ava turned two with a little help from Elmo and some friends. Big hits were the outdoor playgym, playdough, and cupcakes. Chloe Jane had a great time.

When the Toigos arrived, the kids all got into their Halloween costumes and headed to Zoo Atlanta for Boo at the Zoo. On the way there, we stopped at the Atlanta Cupcake Factory for a colorful assortment of delightful mini-cakes. After all the excitement from the birthday party and playing with Elizabeth and Matthew, Chloe Jane fell asleep in the car and missed the cupcake factory. Don’t worry we saved one for her and Ruth who stayed in the car with her.

After the cupcake factory, the kids opened up their goody bags for all the treats at Boo at the Zoo. It’s really all about the candy for this event. After the bags were full, everyone enjoyed the carosel.

The next day, we all headed to downtown Atlanta to visit the Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium was a big hit for everyone (except Cara, she slept through most of it). After the aquarium, we all stopped for lunch at Johnny Rockets for malts and burgers.

Later that Sunday afternoon, the Toigos and I headed down to Piedmont Park for family photos.

What a great weekend. Chloe Jane was sad to see “boy” and “girl” go as she called Matthew and Elizabeth. Joe was the Man with the Hat. Now for the hard part–finishing all the photos I took.
Check back later when I finish processing the photos and include links to the galleries.
