Two little bunnies

This year, Chloe Jane got plenty of  Easter Egg hunting in and Cara was always interested in the treats Chloe Jane was bringing back to share.

Chloe Jane’s first hunt was in our neighborhood.  Chloe Jane found colorful plastic eggs hidden hither and yon.  Cara was interested in the colorful eggs when Chloe Jane brought her basket back.  After the hunt, the Easter Bunny paid a visit to the kids.  Chloe Jane and Cara were both fascinated in the sunglass-wearing, adult-sized bunny.

The next weekend, Chloe Jane was hunting for Easter Eggs at St. Martin in the Fields.  The eggs were not difficult to find since they were spread out on an open soccer field but as long as Chloe Jane could fill her basket and find treats inside the eggs, she was happy.  She even gave an egg and some treats to her sister.  Chloe Jane got a hug from the Easter Bunny and Cara expressed her unhappiness with being left in the paws of the big, white bunny.  At home, we spread out a picnic blanket on the floor for a picnic lunch and a chance for the girls to go through the basket.

Finally, Easter morning, we put the girls in matching, colorful outfits and they found a stuffed bunny that sings and flaps it’s ears (Chloe Jane said it was “a flyer”) and a couple of Easter baskets full of treats.  Once Chloe Jane found the chocolate Easter Bunny, nothing else in the basket really compared.
