Day two was a great day at the kingdom. We added Tommy and my parents to the mix.  My parents accompanied us into the Magic Kingdom so that someone could always stay with Tommy for any rides he couldn’t go on. As it turned out, Tommy could go on almost all the rides we tried that day (except for the roller coaster–and had Cara known, she would have opted out of that one, too).

There were two big highlights for Day 2.  The first was the New Fantasyland. It doesn’t open until later this year, but we were approached by a staff member (actually called cast members at Disney) who told us they were having a “soft” opening of parts of the New Fantasyland before the grand opening. So we went to the New Fantasyland which has an Enchanted Forest dedicated to Belle and Ariel’s Grotto dedicated to the Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid ride was a great Disney experience and immediately became the favorite of both girls.

The next highlight of the day was that the girls got a chance to meet Merida, Disney’s newest princess. Merida has become Chloe Jane’s favorite (I have taken Chloe Jane to see it in the theater and it is the best Disney princess movie I’ve seen bar none).
