I'm One!!
Cara had her first birthday party at her Aunt Holly’s house in Azle, Texas. Cara’s Mom and Aunt worked hard the night before making her a homemade birthday cake. They not only iced the cake, they iced the cookies they put on the cake. Now that’s a commitment to icing. It was a big hit with Cara (and Chloe Jane, too). It seems that red velvet cake is becoming the cake of Fife birthdays. Cara mostly got the cake in her mouth though she was by no means a hundred percent accurate with her forkfulls of cake.

We all had a great time visiting Aunt Holly in Texas and Cara’s grandparents were there as well. In the coming days, I’ll be adding more installments from that vacation including photos of Cara and Chloe Jane enjoying the resort-like grounds at Holly’s house, a trip to the cattle drive in downtown Ft. Worth, a trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo and more so stay tuned.
