“An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw
A-plowing through the ragged sky and up the cloudy draw
Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the Riders coming hard and he heard their mournful cry
Yippie yi Ohhhhh
Yippie yi yaaaaay”

Okay . . . well not quite.
Actually, these Texas Longhorns kind of loped their way down Main Street and the cowboys riding with the herd loped along with them. But hey, what other major city can you go to where longhorns have the right of way?
After Cara and Chloe Jane witnessed the longhorns stampede, or rather, step carefully past them, they were in the mood to do some riding themselves. So the little cowgirls hooped it up on a couple of coin-operated carousel horses. Couple of naturals.
