This weekend, we went to the Sandy Springs Festival.  They had lots of fun for kids.  There were inflatable jumpy things which Chloe Jane loves; a train ride; a puppet show; a petting zoo; PONY RIDES; and ice cream!  Chloe Jane loved the inflatables–especially the slides.  She even wanted to go on the Titanic slide which was clearly meant for older kids.  She wasn’t expecting to come down so fast and you can see the look of concern on her face as she comes racing down.  The next day when I asked her if she thought the ship slide was fun, she said, “it was not fun.  I screamed.”

Also, at this festival, Chloe Jane was able to ride a pony for the first time.    We first tried the ponies on Saturday, but on our way to them, it started to rain–right when we told Chloe Jane that we were going to take her to ride a pony.  We had to tell her that she could ride the pony when the rain let up.  Well, the rain did not let up.  So we ran back to the car drenched.   Chloe Jane woke up from her nap that afternoon asking, “Now can I ride the ponies?”  It was still raining (and of course we were no where near the festival).  Sunday was sunny and beautiful so we took her back to the festival and the first place we went was to the pony rides.
