On Sunday, Chloe Jane turned four years old. She was thrilled that so many family members came to wish her happy birthday. Instead of a cake, we had fix-your-own ice cream sundaes. Chloe Jane loved all the gifts everyone gave her and we were glad to see so many family members gathered at the same time.
At her party, Chloe Jane got her very first bicycle. She was happy to have her first bike and happy to give it a spin around the house. It also became the only heartbreak that occurred during the birthday party. As soon as I rolled the bike out from the porch, Cara came running up to me and said, “Where’s mine, Daddy? Where’s mine?” She then ran to the door to look out at the porch in hopes of finding her bike outside and ready to be rolled in. Fortunately, Chloe Jane was good about giving Cara turns riding her new bike around the house.
(Don’t worry . . . first thing Monday, Daddy went to Toys R Us and bought a cute pink and purple tricycle for Cara)
