Here’s the silver lining (actually brushed nickel) to the whole water damage thing from this past May. We got a new kitchen! The old kitchen was so white that it looked like a sterile, chemical laboratory and the slightest stain, dirt, pet hair or spill would stand out in stark contrast. The new kitchen is much warmer with natural wood cabinets, dark granite countertop, slate colored porcelain tile floor, brushed nickel hardware and sand-colored backsplash.
